.It is being reported that in President Obama's Saturday (July 10th) radio address he outlined a streamlining of documentation that needs to be submitted supporting claims for PTSD and Katherine Skiba writes that "the changes would be published Monday in the Federal Register and take effect immediately."
That "take effect immediately" is interesting. My experience with government bureaucracy is that nothing takes effect immediately because some official or clerk interprets a new regulation in his/her own way and next thing you know there is this demand and that demand and on and on and on.
Still, let's hope for the best and see if maybe this time the words "take effect immediately" really mean that.
