John Allen, when I received my new VA ID card when it was issued, a new photo was taken then they mailed the card to me, took couple days and received it with no issues.
perfumeriver let me ask you a question does your current ID card have your ss # etc on it ? If so it is for that reason it was removed..identity theft.
As far as having service connected, PH, POW labled on it is deffinatley there for a reason..priority in care, at least here in New York. In these days of shortages at the VA, it does and will make a difference, unless of course you have health issues and have been in the system for some time now. The only time the VA asks me for my ss#, last 4 digits is when I am in the hospotal. Over the phone I never provide it to them.
Yeah we all wonder about these laptops disappearing.
